As CMF Manager at Canoo—an EV startup known for its fast-paced, high standard design, agile environment—I led the CMF strategy across multiple vehicle programs, including commercial delivery vans and a lifestyle pickup truck. We focused on innovative and premium material solutions while managing tight development timelines, cost limitations, and production feasibility. My focus was on ensuring each proposal reflected Canoo’s brand vision and contributed to a distinctive, competitive design.

We also had a Saudi Arabia’s national development group for the NEOM project—a groundbreaking initiative to build THE LINE, a car-free, fully sustainable smart city.
As part of this effort, Canoo was selected as a mobility partner to help envision and develop purpose-built vehicles for different mobility needs within and around the NEOM region. These included:

Urban mobility shuttles within THE LINE

Outdoor exploration vehicles connecting the city to the Red Sea coastline

And a VIP airport-to-city transfer vehicle designed for a luxury experience
For the VIP vehicle in particular, we developed a high-end interior concept featuring fully reclining rear seats, integrated refrigeration, and a large entertainment display—enabling executives and dignitaries to relax during their journey from the airport to the city center.
The goal was to deliver an experience that aligned with NEOM’s vision of futuristic, premium, and sustainable design.

Seat Inspiration
The fabric pattern draws inspiration from the organic rhythm of wind-sculpted sand formations in the desert.
This natural phenomenon creates fluid, linear textures that are both structured and serene. Translating this into the textile,
we aimed to capture the essence of movement and calm through a harmonious play of repetition and curvature.
The result is a tactile surface that evokes a sense of grounding and quiet sophistication.

This embossed seat pattern is derived from the intricate contours of coastal geography, inspired by the organic lines where land meets sea.
Referencing topographic maps, we translated the shoreline’s rhythm into a tactile expression that brings a sense of place and narrative to the interior.
The line-work not only enhances the sensory experience but also aligns with the exterior decal design, creating a cohesive visual language that bridges interior and exterior elements.
