The ‘N Vision 74’ concept represents Hyundai’s future vision, blending the iconic design DNA of the Pony with forward-looking innovation and modern values.
The concept was ‘NEWTRO’—a blend of new and retro, inspired by the Pony but reimagined for the future.
CMF direction, ‘Simple. Sleek. Futuristic,’ focused on a clean, performance-driven look. Instead of bold colors, we used a ‘Mix & Match Haptic’ approach—combining varied textures and finishes to create a timeless, futuristic, and high-performance atmosphere.

Final Exterior Color Combination

The exterior color concept of the Hyundai N Vision 74 is characterized by a unique blend of satin exterior color with
matte and glossy finish parts. The car features a satin silver exterior color on the upper body, the lower body has a matte dark silver finish while the point exterior part is chrome look gloss silver paint.
The car also features a contrasting Orange accent that runs along the point of the vehicle, adding a bold and dynamic look to the design. The use of these colors and finishes is intended to create a sense of movement and to give the car a futuristic and high-tech appearance.

Unique Door Handle Design and Finish (PU)

For the Hyundai N Vision 74 interior, I aimed to reflect the car’s high-performance character through material choices.
While Alcantara suede was initially considered for key touch points like the steering wheel, seats, and upper IP,
I found it too heavy feeling for a performance vehicle. Instead, I used satin finishes paint and carbon fiber to create a lighter, sportier feel, aligning the interior with the vehicle’s dynamic design intent.

For the N Vision 74 point color, I strategically limited the use of the sky blue accent to maintain focus and visual balance.
I placed it in driver-centric touch points—such as the door handle and top of the steering wheel—to subtly enhance concentration during high-performance driving. To define the sky blue accent color, I collaborated closely with the brand and heritage teams to explore the future identity of Hyundai’s N series. While Hyundai’s core brand color was traditionally blue,
I proposed a new sky blue tone that embodies the N brand’s forward-looking vision—combining performance, sustainability, and innovation
Working on the N Vision 74 taught me that sustainable design is not just a trend, but a strategic approach.
Designing with sustainability in mind enhances product longevity and ensures the brand remains relevant over time.
I also deepened my understanding of intentional restraint in color and material application- learning to apply colors based on function or user experience, while still expressing the brand’s identity in a refined and strategic way
